COLORADO...
A POTENT PACIFIC STORM SYSTEM WILL APPROACH EASTERN UTAH AND
WESTERN COLORADO ON SATURDAY AND MOVE OVER THE AREA THROUGH
SUNDAY. SNOW WILL INCREASE ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS SATURDAY
AFTERNOON AHEAD OF A STRONG COLD FRONT...AND THEN INTENSIFY
DURING THE EVENING AS THE FRONT PASSES OVER THE AREA. SNOW WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH SUNDAY WITH SIGNIFICANT NEW SNOW AMOUNTS EXPECTED
BY EARLY SUNDAY EVENING. IN ADDITION TO THE HEAVY SNOW...STRONG
AND GUSTY SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL DEVELOP AHEAD OF THE FRONT

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND JUNCTION HAS ISSUED A
WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS
IN EFFECT FROM NOON SATURDAY TO 6 PM MST SUNDAY. THE WINTER STORM
WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
SNOWFALL WILL SPREAD INTO THE VALLEYS OF NORTHWEST COLORADO
SATURDAY AFTERNOON...THEN INTENSIFY DURING THE EVENING. SNOW WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH SUNDAY WITH 6 TO 12 INCHES OF NEW SNOW IN THE CRAIG
AREA...AND OVER A FOOT EXPECTED IN CLARK...STEAMBOAT SPRINGS...AND
OAK CREEK BY EARLY SUNDAY EVENING. SOUTHWEST WINDS 10 TO 20 MPH
WITH LOCALIZED GUSTS TO 30 MPH WILL PRODUCE BLOWING AND DRIFTING
SNOW INTO SATURDAY EVENING. WINDS WILL THEN SWITCH AROUND TO THE
NORTHWEST AND DIMINISH.

There isn't snow!
With only 11inches of snow from october, this winter season continuing very dry!
Some snow should fall this night, but for the next couple of days there aren't chance of precipitation.

Period of Snow&Rain.
From Monday 10 to Thursday 13 every day snow showers or rain showers affected Steamboat.
Good precipitations:
11/10: 0.30in - Rain to Snow
11/11: 0.10in - Snow
11/12: 0.10in - Rain
11/13: 0.20in - Rain to Snow
For the next days High Pressure should be stay on the Rockies with clear sky or partly cloudy and the minimum temperature could drop below 20F!

Hey guys! I'm back.
I'm here only by mid-September, but here it's all like a paradise!
But I will never forget Houghton and the Superior Lake.

What a dry August!
Sunday 31 august 2008;
This August has been very unusual dry for Houghton and Keweenau Peninsula.
It should be the driest August of ever.
With only 0.57" of rain on an average of 1.57" (2000-2007) August is officially the driest of ever!
Now the sun is coming up and another dry day will start.

The approach of a strong warm front from Wisconsin tonight will likely cause thunderstorms over Upper Michigan tonight. The thunderstorms are most likely over the west half of Upper Michigan...where some of the stronger storms may drop large hail.
Severe thunderstorms expected for all of U.P.
Friday, may 6 2008,
One thunderstorm this night with 0.25" of rain. Yesternight few showers with another 0.06".

Moderate risk of severe weather for today in West Wisconsin, East Minnesota and far South-West corner of Upper Peninsula.
Severe thunderstorms expected this afternoon and this evening across the U.P. with hail, damaging wind gusts and...chance of few and isolated tornado.

The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a freeze watch... which is in effect from late tonight through Tuesday morning. Temperatures may fall as low as 29 to 30 well inland from Lake Superior late tonight. Readings closer to Lake Superior will be around 35. A freeze watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible. These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. Now is the time to take precautions to protect plants and sensitive vegetation. |

The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a frost advisory... which is in effect from midnight EDT /11 PM CDT/ tonight to 8 am EDT /7 am CDT/ Monday. High pressure will build over Upper Michigan tonight bringing clearing skies and lighter winds. As a result... overnight low temperatures around 30 and areas of frost are expected across portions of Upper Michigan after midnight tonight and early Sunday morning. Areas along the Great Lakes shore will be a little warmer and are less likely to have frost. A frost advisory means that frost is possible. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered. |

Wednesday will move from North-Est Minnesota into Ontario.
Chance of showers between tuesday and wednesday with cool wind from west or north-west.

A Beautiful cold front with showers is large from central Minnesota to Canada line and now it move up.
70F with mostly clouds. 70% of precipitation.

Some snow showers was reported in south Dakota and Nebraska this morning, instead the snow in north Minnesota, have turned to light rain.
There are some severe thunderstorms in Missouri, where a lot of tornado watch, has been issued.
For tonight there are low chance of precipitations (NWS say 20%) but tomorrow, some weak showers will pass here.

Questa mattina, un fronte caldo da sud, ha portato una debole fase di maltempo con alcuni rovesci.
Nel pomeriggio, il sistema di bassa pressione però si è mosso verso est e dal Canada è affluita aria più fresca.
Un temporale è passato vicino a me e il totale è così salito a 0.27" di pioggia.
La temperatura è scesa rapidamente da 7/8° fino a 3 con qualche banco di nebbia.
Domani e venerdì tempo bello.
Possibilità di rovesci da sabato sera e domenica.
